Things to do in Houston April 2015

Spring is finally here and that means it’s time to get outside and enjoy all this marvelous season has to offer. From and old fashioned Easter to a modern day Women’s expo there’s plenty of family friendly fun to be had in the Houston, TX area.

An Old Fashioned Easter

When: April 4th

Where: George Ranch Historical Park

Travel back in time and celebrate Easter the way our grandparents did at the George Ranch Historical Park. Activities include a traditional Easter Egg Hunt, egg roll, egg pocking competition, and a Victorian Easter Luncheon.

Houston Astros VS Cleveland Indians – Opening Day Street Fest

When: April 6th 4:30pm – 6:10pm

Where: Minute Maid Park

501 Crawford, Houston, TX 77002

Join in on the fun of Opening Day with a Bungee Run, Velcro Wall, Rockwall, Inflatable obstacle course, face painting, balloon artist, giant Jenga and all kinds of other fun activities for the whole family! Live music on the Budweiser stage and pep rally! No game ticket is needed.

Earth Day Houston

Houston Ultimate Women’s Expo

When: April 18th and 19th, 2015 Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sunday 11am – 5pm

3rd Annual Houston Barbecue Festival

When: April 26th, 2015, 1-5pm

Where: NRG Park One NRG Park, Houston TX, 77054

Come out and celebrate and sample the best of the best of Houston BBQ. Join 20+ of Houston’s best barbecue joints as they serve up their best tasting ribs, briskets, and other delicious meats at this family friendly event. Experience all the different barbecue styles as you learn of their unique histories that made them so mouth watering. General Admission is $50 and includes entry into festival and unlimited samples from each Houston BBQ participant. Other admissions rates.
